Who the Programs Serve

The Irene Woods Foundation aims to fund the delivery of tutoring programs and student learning support to the children of low-income families living on the island of Montreal.

Selection Process

We work in close collaboration with educators, schools and school boards who refer students. The application process runs through school boards in the Greater Montreal region.

How Support is Delivered

Irene Woods Foundation programs are multi-faceted, leveraging in-person tutoring where possible, as well as online learning platforms and emerging AI-supported tools. We firmly believe in a personalized, student-centric approach to learning.

Language & Reach

As a Quebec-based foundation serving the Greater Montreal area, we aim to offer access to programming in both French and English. Our pilot programs are currently being launched within English-language school boards and will expand to French upon proof of concept.
